This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Overseeing all on-premise activities and programming within the assigned territory through distributors to guarantee optimal market penetration, brand recognition, and sell-through.
• Leading the implementation of the company's core and premium portfolio across a diverse account base.
• Enhancing distribution by developing a wider account base and boosting sales within the distributor network.
• Collaborating with distributor representatives to achieve sales plans/goals that benefit both parties.
• Establishing target account lists by channel and working with their Manager to create a timeline for account visits and distributor engagement.
• Utilizing product and business expertise to educate distributor representatives and accounts to enhance product turnover.
• Representing The Duckhorn Portfolio at consumer and trade events while coordinating participation in luxury and fine wine occasions.
• Monitoring distributor inventory and collaborating on inventory visibility and management of allocated wines.
• Providing recommendations for pricing and programming to meet budgetary goals that drive sales in the assigned region.
• Fostering cross-functional collaboration while maintaining clear account ownership, segmentation, and call reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• At least 4 years of sales experience in the wine industry, preferably with a luxury brand.
• Required experience in working with distributor networks and managing broad market execution.
• Preferred exposure to on-premise sales and knowledge of luxury/fine wine segmentation.
• Foundational understanding of fine wine is necessary.
• Proven ability to operate within a matrixed sales organization with specialized roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Familiarity with Diver or Dynamics 365 iDig or VIP Karma is an advantage.
• Must be able to travel 50-60% of the time within the designated market, visiting accounts, distributors, customers, and hosting events day and night.
• A dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of state car registration, insurance, and a clean driving record are required.
