This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop, implement, and oversee the district business plan to achieve assigned revenue and strategic goals.
• Provide direction, support, and motivation to the district sales team to ensure targets and objectives are met.
• Regularly forecast, oversee, and manage selling and other expenses for the district within designated expense budgets.
• Consistently and accurately predict customer demand (e.g., product quantities and dollar amounts, orders, shipments).
• Foster a high level of interaction and engagement between other departments (e.g., Marketing, Technical Support) and the local sales team & staff to ensure coordinated activities and alignment on shared goals.
• Talent Acquisition - Accountable for resource planning, recruitment, and hiring to support projected sales targets.
• Talent Development activities to ensure the sales team possesses the necessary skills to effectively perform their roles, provide ongoing guidance to employees, and offer career counseling to aid in their professional growth and advancement.
• Performance Management - establish performance standards, set achievable job goals, conduct performance evaluations, and implement disciplinary measures as needed.
• Create a sense of urgency and foster accountability within the regional team to achieve both financial and strategic objectives.
• Ensure the proper utilization and compliance with departmental policies and practices regarding Salesforce.com (SFDC).
• Collaborate across AMR to promote coordination and alignment in pursuit of broader corporate goals. This includes leading cross-district initiatives in partnership with marketing, sales, and senior leadership.
• Act as a peer leader and mentor within the District Sales Manager team.
• BA/BS in Life Sciences.
• At least 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related field within the Life Science industry, including capital equipment sales.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in sales management within the Life Science sector.
• Proven track record in recruiting top talent, building teams, managing and motivating sales professionals, and setting and achieving sales targets.
• Proficient in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, cultivating and maintaining key customer relationships, and leading high-performing sales teams.
