This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee Dealer Sales and Service Agreements between General Motors of Canada Company and its network of dealers.
• Coordinate vehicle sales and marketing initiatives within the designated district.
• Provide guidance to dealerships and work together on business strategies to enhance retail sales, market share, revenue, and customer experience.
• Create and implement district business plans aimed at achieving sales, market share, customer satisfaction, and retail experience goals.
• Evaluate sales, inventory, market share, and competitive data to pinpoint opportunities, gaps, and tailored action plans for dealers.
• Enhance the performance of underachieving dealerships through targeted improvement strategies.
• Facilitate dealer-level forecasting, consensus cycles, and ordering discussions.
• Promote accessory sales, OnStar, GM Protection Plan, and GM Financial product performance.
• Foster customer-oriented dealership cultures and enhance both digital and in-store customer experiences.
• Resolve customer satisfaction concerns, escalated complaints, and negative Google Reviews.
• Assist GM dealer network with marketing, advertising, training, recognition, and electric vehicle initiatives.
• Track dealer compliance, profitability, sales metrics, and the progress of action plans.
• Keep regional sales leadership updated on significant district matters, opportunities, and compliance issues.
• Complete special projects as directed by regional management.
• Proficient in both English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and relocate as business needs dictate.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, effective decision-making, and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively.
• Self-motivated with a strong focus on results, capable of leading, adapting to changes, and managing stress.
• Strong competencies in sales and negotiation.
• Ability to operate autonomously as well as collaborate within cross-functional and virtual teams.
• Familiarity with GM distribution processes, field sales tools, and reporting mechanisms.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license or provincial equivalent.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% or more.
• Completed undergraduate degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in automotive wholesale or retail is advantageous.
• Preferred knowledge of automotive marketing, digital advertising, digital retailing, and CRM best practices.
• Experience with GM field tools, GM Financial tools, CSI, and market-share reporting is a plus.
• An MBA is considered an asset.
