This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Facilitate commercial initiatives within field teams to ensure sales targets are achieved for a designated region.
• Develop, execute, and communicate the District Sales Plan while tracking its progress.
• Leverage market, segment, and team dynamics to enhance both top- and bottom-line outcomes.
• Ensure effective collaboration for both daily operations and long-term business strategies.
• Establish the tone and pace for organizational processes and business operations.
• Comprehend and present a market and franchise/business perspective while leading teams and advocating for in-field meetings by mastering product and disease state knowledge, as well as relevant market dynamics, including the Managed Care landscape.
• Guide, mentor, and educate direct and indirect team members to improve individual competencies and elevate overall team performance.
• Hold direct reports accountable for their actions and expected behaviors.
• Offer direction and insights to key internal stakeholders during the business planning process.
• Consistently demonstrate the AbbVie Ways of Working.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Skills in business analysis and planning that drive sales performance.
• A minimum of four years of experience in pharmaceutical sales management (external management experience may be considered).
• Currently meeting performance expectations.
• Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Capability to articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
• Proven track record of providing honest, effective feedback and efficiently managing performance.
• Ability to cultivate talent for promotional opportunities.
• Capacity to foster a culture of success and complete team engagement.
• Works collaboratively and can influence without direct authority across organizations.
