This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Responsible for activating sales at the market level and promoting key brand initiatives.
• Establish robust relationships with major retail accounts and local chains while identifying significant sales opportunities.
• Foster strong connections with distributor teams to enhance collaborative efforts and increase brand presence.
• Organize market work-withs, surveys, and sales blitzes in collaboration with distributor teams.
• Deliver weekly market performance summaries and highlight execution gaps to the Region Manager.
• Monitor program compliance, competitive pricing, and feature implementation.
• Oversee Annual Business Planning, ensuring market activation and KPIs are met within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Implement all approved chain/brand programs relevant to the designated territory.
• Responsible for executing the Luxury Brand Collection where applicable.
• Expand distribution for brand-focused programs.
• Communicate updates on execution priorities with the Region Manager and distributor teams.
• Comply with budget constraints within the assigned territory.
• Submit all requests for additional expenditures to the Region Manager for further evaluation and processing.
• Participate in General Sales Meetings (GSM) and training sessions as required.
• Maintain a market presence of 85%-90% in a customer-facing capacity, conducting distributor 'work withs' and fostering key account development.
• Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or a related field, along with two to five years of progressive sales experience in the wine and spirits or beverage industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success in sales and account management within the alcohol beverage industry, with comprehensive knowledge of both on- and off-premise wine channels and trade.
• Passion and knowledge for luxury/premium and commercial wines, with enthusiasm for selling a diverse range of price points and formats.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating the highest level of integrity.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain insurance.
• Willingness to travel overnight approximately 10% - 15% of the time; availability for weekend and evening work as needed.
• Experience in selling imports and/or organic categories is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Circana/Nielsen information is a plus.
• Wine education or certification, such as WSET or CSW, is preferred.
