This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Develop and sustain a robust talent pipeline for Pharmacists, which includes overseeing internships, recruiting recent graduates, and facilitating career advancement for Pharmacists.
• Establish the District talent strategy for hourly employees and manage staffing pipelines along with succession planning.
• Define and convey District priorities aligned with Corporate and Regional directives.
• Guide Pharmacy Managers in adapting to change and achieving business excellence.
• Conduct both formal and informal regular check-ins with Pharmacy Managers.
• Enhance pharmacy performance at the District level through coaching and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance, which includes reporting and investigating incidents related to patient safety and drug loss.
• Expand the business through acquisitions, file buys, new store openings, and remodels.
• Manage District succession plans and advocate for District-level staffing initiatives.
• Supervise colleague training programs, staffing, scheduling, and payment for market Pharmacists.
• Foster a culture of recognition, empowerment, development, and inclusivity.
• Identify, mentor, and cultivate future District Leadership talent.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide targeted coaching and counseling.
• Create and implement business plans that encompass P&L, scripts-to-budget, inventory, payroll, and asset protection.
• Analyze business reports and utilize metrics to identify root causes and formulate action plans.
• Examine the competitive landscape and business trends to anticipate risks and opportunities.
• Set, communicate, and carry out market objectives.
• Involve pharmacy teams in executing programs and services.
• Advocate for exceptional customer service and address escalated customer service concerns.
• Manage urgent market challenges such as theft, severe weather, no-shows, and Board of Pharmacy visits.
• Ensure pharmacy preparedness for inventories, audits, and other scheduled activities.
• Ensure compliance with community obligations, company policies, and relevant laws.
• Provide insights into local acquisition and real estate strategies.
• Identify file-buy and acquisition opportunities and develop relationships with competitors.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• An active Pharmacist license is required for all states within the District.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing Pharmacist, preferably in a retail environment.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Proven ability to establish and achieve performance objectives.
• Strong interpersonal skills evidenced by successful teamwork.
• Excellent time management abilities with accountability for multiple overlapping deliverables.
• High personal integrity and sound judgment, including experience managing highly sensitive or prominent business issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated growth mindset and openness to learning and accepting feedback.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• PharmD is preferred.
• Preference for internal candidates who have completed the EL program curriculum through the EL Summit.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a multi-unit manager is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a CVS Retail store or field role is preferred.
• 8–10 years of total work experience is required.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctorate of Pharmacy is required.
