
Distribution Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Optimize inventory through effective distribution by managing stocking levels, ensuring sell-through visibility, addressing aging/excess management, and aligning demand, ensuring the right products are available without tying up working capital.
• Oversee deal desk operations, including deal registration, ensuring accurate quoting and timely turnaround, managing pricing approvals, and coordinating workflows connecting sales teams, distribution, and resellers.
• Eliminate obstacles and reduce cycle times.
• Regularly evaluate the processes surrounding inventory, registration, and quoting to identify inefficiencies, then redesign workflows that contribute to delays or inaccuracies.
• Approach recurring issues as opportunities for process improvement rather than urgent problems to resolve.
• Foster a genuinely mutually beneficial partnership with distribution through joint planning, shared objectives, and a clear value exchange that prioritizes this vendor within their portfolio.
• Take direct responsibility for key distribution performance metrics and report on them from a high-level business perspective.
• A proactive mindset and a genuine sense of urgency; you drive initiatives forward instead of waiting for them to happen.
• Experience in distribution or two-tier channels, particularly in inventory management, deal desk operations, quoting, and registration.
• The capability to maintain a broad business perspective while effectively managing operational details.
• Strong relationship-building skills and the discipline to be accountable for quantitative results.
• Comfortably juggle operational, administrative, and strategic tasks within the same week without compromising any of them.
• Excellent communication skills, providing concise updates for both internal and external stakeholders, and naturally following through with actionable steps.
