• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering, CTO, and senior leadership to align technical investments with business objectives.

• Assess technical decisions, platform investments, and modernization efforts.

• Propel the adoption of AI technologies across products, enhancing engineering productivity and customer results.

• Design, develop, and implement AI-driven product features and intelligent automation solutions.

• Lead projects involving LLMs, RAG, AI agents, MCP, and agentic workflows.

• Set standards for AI-assisted software development, focusing on code quality, security, validation, and responsible usage.

• Analyze emerging AI technologies and assess their measurable value.

• Guide engineering teams in AI implementation and evaluation techniques.

• Write, review, test, and deploy production-level code.

• Oversee the design and execution of intricate, business-critical software functionalities.

• Act as a technical escalation point for challenging engineering and production issues.

• Promote engineering excellence across Java, Spring Boot, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native platforms.

• Create reference implementations, prototypes, and foundational components.

• Guarantee scalability, security, reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Direct the evolution of enterprise SaaS architecture and spearhead modernization initiatives.

• Develop reusable engineering patterns, frameworks, and standards.

• Enhance platform performance, resilience, observability, and operational efficiency.

• Advocate for automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, testing, and modern software development methodologies.

• Utilize engineering metrics and measurable outcomes to assess improvements.

• Provide advice to Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and Executive Leadership.

• Mentor Principal Engineers, senior developers, architects, and emerging technical leaders.

• Facilitate technical discussions and influence decisions throughout the organization.

• Convey complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Promote collaboration, technical excellence, innovation, and ownership among globally distributed teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Demonstrated experience as a Distinguished Engineer, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Chief Architect, or a similar senior technical individual contributor.

• Exceptional hands-on proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and enterprise application architecture.

• Extensive experience in designing and delivering highly scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise SaaS platforms.

• Proven success in leading significant technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams or product domains.

• Demonstrated experience in building and delivering AI-powered software capabilities in production settings.

• Strong practical knowledge of AI-assisted software development tools and modern AI engineering workflows.

• Experience with Large Language Models, RAG, AI agents, MCP, or similar AI frameworks.

• Deep understanding of AWS or Azure, including cloud architecture, distributed systems, and AI integration capabilities.

• Extensive background with CI/CD, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Strong grasp of enterprise security, application performance, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Proven ability to tackle highly complex technical challenges and critical production problems.

• Experience in influencing architectural direction and technical standards across various teams.

• Demonstrated capability to mentor senior technical contributors and enhance engineering skills.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to persuade both executive and technical stakeholders.

• History of translating technical innovations into measurable product, engineering, or business outcomes.

• Proven technical leadership through substantial engineering contributions, open-source projects, publications, patents, industry recognition, or similar accomplishments.

• Preferred: experience with Salesforce technologies, APIs, metadata, DevOps workflows, or enterprise applications designed for the Salesforce ecosystem.

• Preferred: experience in developing DevSecOps platforms, CI/CD tools, release automation, or data protection solutions.

• Preferred: experience in integrating AI-powered features or agentic workflows into enterprise software products.

• Preferred: experience leading significant architectural modernization efforts.

• Preferred: experience in highly regulated industries or security-sensitive enterprise environments.

• Preferred: experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering and product teams.

• Must reside in and be eligible to work in the US.
