Disability Support Worker – Lifestyle Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Assist with daily routines and household activities

• Aid in cooking, shopping, and budget management

• Foster community involvement and social relationships

• Support with appointments and various activities

• Help individuals build skills and reach personal objectives

• Advocate for wellbeing, choice, and independence

• Keep precise records and communicate effectively with the broader team

• Collaborate with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities to facilitate meaningful, independent living

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in New Zealand providing support to individuals with disabilities or in a similar community-based role

• Proven experience in working autonomously and assisting individuals with complex needs

• Background in behaviour support, mental health, youth work, social services, or trauma-informed care

• Possession of a Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or an equivalent qualification or experience)

• A valid New Zealand driver's licence

• Excellent communication skills and a person-centred approach

• Flexibility to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

• Legal entitlement to work in New Zealand; visa sponsorship is not available

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including professional reference checks, right-to-work verification, driver's licence validation, criminal history checks, pre-employment medical assessment with drug and alcohol testing, ACC history check, and qualification or certification verification
