📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Senior Director of DBQ Operations to execute team directives across the Generation, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance divisions.

• Oversee objectives, metrics, and daily operations for a large operational team across all three departments, coordinating with supervisors and team leads.

• Lead, align, and nurture supervisors to ensure consistency and accountability across the department.

• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance tracking aligned with departmental and company objectives.

• Manage the complete performance management cycle, including coaching discussions, performance evaluations, development plans, and addressing performance issues.

• Monitor team goals and progress, assisting each supervisor's professional development and overall growth in DBQ skills.

• Act as the lead during the interview and onboarding processes for all new team members, including GoTeam members.

• Manage supervisors' timecards and PTO approvals, serving as a backup when supervisors are unavailable.

• Hold supervisors accountable for their team 1:1 meetings and provide backup support as necessary.

• Conduct weekly department meetings and bi-weekly staff check-ins.

• Create and maintain performance dashboards and accountability systems for visibility into team output, error trends, and individual performance.

• Identify and remove obstacles across teams while proactively escalating systemic issues.

• Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for DBQ within the Generation, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance teams.

• Utilize medical and clinical knowledge to ensure the accuracy of DBQ content, appropriate medical terminology, and compliance with VA rating criteria.

• Review VA templates, rating schedules, and policy changes to identify updates and revise DBQ training materials accordingly.

• Ensure that all DBQ-specific training content reflects current VA rating criteria, accurate medical terminology, and aligns with REE Medical's internal processes.

• Maintain and update process documentation, SOPs, and quick-reference guides as workflows evolve or are modified.

• Conduct quarterly reviews of all DBQ training materials to confirm accuracy and identify outdated content for revision.

• Identify content gaps through QA feedback, error trends, and supervisor insights; draft updated training content for Director review and approval.

• Ensure that updated training content is published within 30 days of any major process change or VA update, following Director approval.

• Serve as the go-to resource for content accuracy for supervisors and team members regarding DBQ-related training materials.

• Ensure that DBQ-related process updates are effectively implemented and communicated across departments.

• Ensure compliance with processes and procedures related to Operational Programs and the safeguarding of PII/PHI across all teams.

• Manage and report team compliance with REE Medical's policies and procedures.

• Collaborate closely with the Senior Director of DBQ Operations and supervisors to ensure alignment across teams.

• Implement and sustain process improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and improve knowledge accessibility.


⛳️ Requirements

• VA Disability & DBQ Experience: Extensive, hands-on experience with VA disability claims processes and DBQ completion.

• 3-5 years of experience in the DBQ field, demonstrating an advanced understanding of VA disability processes, rating schedules, and regulatory compliance.

• Experience within the VA Disability industry outside of REE Medical is highly preferred.

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.

• Medical/Clinical Knowledge: Sufficient clinical literacy to function as the DBQ content accuracy expert for your teams.

• Background in medical training, clinical experience, or health sciences education (e.g., medical terminology, anatomy, diagnostic criteria).

• Ability to interpret VA rating schedule criteria and accurately translate clinical findings into compliant DBQ documentation.

• People Leadership & Change Management: Proven capability to lead through supervisors and develop teams in a remote operational setting.

• At least 2 years of leadership experience managing through supervisors or team leads.

• Demonstrated ability to guide teams through transformative periods, balancing changing priorities while maintaining operational efficiency.

• Experience executing the complete performance management cycle, including coaching, evaluations, development plans, and performance concerns.

• Experience managing remote teams and cultivating an inclusive, high-performance work environment.

• Proven experience ensuring team compliance with PII/PHI safeguarding and data protection protocols.

• Training Content & Process Documentation: Ability to maintain accurate, current training resources and develop operational processes.

• Experience in developing and maintaining DBQ training resources, ensuring process documentation is clear, accurate, and aligned with VA requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve knowledge accessibility across teams.

• Proficiency with training platforms (Trainual, Spekit, or equivalent).
