This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee interim COO assignments, acting as the COO for client organizations.

• Deliver hands-on operational leadership, collaborating with executive teams and stakeholders, and drive the execution of organizational priorities to maintain continuity, stability, and progress.

• Offer strategic leadership and guidance to client organizations concerning operational strategy, best practices, and methodologies.

• Capable of formulating and executing policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.

• Familiarity with essential FQHC operational and administrative functions, including front office registration, back-office and nursing, referrals, health information technology, and outpatient software systems.

• Preferred candidates should have experience with Epic, athenaOne, eClinicalWorks, and/or NextGen.

• Experience collaborating with C-suite executives and other senior healthcare leaders to meet strategic objectives.

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and supervisors, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics to assess operational performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.

• Initiate efforts to improve the quality of care, patient safety, and clinical outcomes through process enhancements and evidence-based practices.

• Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.

• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to guide strategic decision-making and foster innovation.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare management, ideally within an FQHC or similar healthcare environment.

• Strong grasp of healthcare operations, finance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement methodologies.

• Proven ability to devise and execute strategic operational initiatives and performance improvement projects.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and team-building abilities with the capacity to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.

• Demonstrated success in driving results, managing change, and cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Preferred knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems, healthcare informatics, and data analytics.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities, independent decision-making skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.

• Proactive approach – takes initiative to make things happen rather than waiting for them to occur.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to foster trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
