This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee utility coordination initiatives across various data center development projects.
• Create and sustain utility delivery plans, milestone schedules, and critical-path tracking.
• Incorporate utility milestones into the overall project development and construction timelines.
• Foster accountability for meeting utility-related obligations and energization deadlines.
• Recognize schedule, permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction risks that may affect energization.
• Formulate and execute mitigation strategies to adhere to project timelines.
• Assess utility scopes, infrastructure plans, and project assumptions for gaps and dependencies.
• Elevate critical issues and propose corrective measures.
• Act as the main liaison between internal project teams, external utility providers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Development, Design, Construction, Operations, Procurement, Real Estate, Legal, and Finance teams.
• Organize regular meetings, both internally and externally, along with executive updates and reviews.
• Communicate project status and risk evaluations to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
• Establish standardized processes for utility coordination and reporting frameworks.
• Maintain milestone tracking and risk registers at the portfolio level.
• Promote continuous improvement in utility delivery and project execution methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Energy Systems, Business, or a relevant field.
• 8–15 years of experience in construction project management, with a minimum of 5 years in utility, mission-critical, or data center sectors.
• Proven experience managing utility interconnections, substations, transmission, distribution, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Deep understanding of utility planning, construction, and energization processes, as well as project execution.
• Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with considerable schedule and capital implications.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and relationship-management abilities.
• Experience in presenting to executive leadership and influencing strategic choices.
• Understanding and adhering to Cologix’s information security, cybersecurity, privacy, and environmental management policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensuring compliance with the requirements of both the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and the Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Staying alert and reporting any information security or environmental incidents, vulnerabilities, risks, or non-conformities to the relevant teams.
• Actively engaging in Cologix’s initiatives to sustain and enhance information security and environmental performance.
