This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Accountable for the creation and underwriting of new product financial and programmatic cost models.
β’ Collaborate with current models and clients on enhancements and modifications to products.
β’ Conduct analyses and various ad-hoc projects for executive leadership.
β’ Develop, document, and implement underwriting procedures, analytical methodologies, and necessary tools for new offerings.
β’ Assess utilization, cost trends, and other assumptions utilized in pricing models.
β’ Analyze the cost implications of new product initiatives and evaluate associated risks.
β’ Lead, supervise, and collaborate with the Manager, Underwriting to ensure proper underwriting procedures are applied.
β’ Provide recommendations regarding product and customer rates to the senior management team for approval.
β’ Examine claims detail data from various in-house claims processing systems as well as external claims data.
β’ Engage with clients/customers and internal teams to resolve issues related to the provided information.
β’ ASA or FSA certification is mandatory.
β’ Understanding of underwriting principles within a managed care context.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Capacity to initiate tasks independently and work autonomously.
β’ Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
β’ Openness to learning new product lines and adapting to a dynamic environment.
β’ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
β’ Experience in managing extensive data sets using tools such as MS Access.
β’ Actuarial pricing experience is essential.
