Director, Technical Services – Latin America and the Caribbean

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• In the role of Director of Technical Services, you will be accountable for devising and executing strategies related to technical services within the Services Department.

• Oversee and offer technical guidance to the Vice President of the Global Services department.

• Collaborate with team members in Ottawa to develop technical strategies, models, and methodologies, ensuring their implementation with Technical Consultants located internationally.

• Contribute as a member of the Services Leadership team, collaborating with the Solution Team both in Ottawa and abroad.

• Oversee the daily operations of the team.

• Work in partnership with Project Managers to facilitate system rollouts.

• Direct the Operations & Maintenance team in the EMEA region and provide managerial oversight to remote teams globally.

• Develop scalable models for the implementation of the FreeBalance Accountability Suite.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Information Technology.

• Demonstrated experience in reviewing and formulating Support and Maintenance policies and procedures.

• A minimum of 5 years of successful management experience with a globally distributed Services and Support Team.

• Project Management experience is essential.

• Capability to effectively communicate in meetings with all tiers of management and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with goal-setting frameworks such as Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

• Proficient in working with open-source software components like Tomcat, BIRT, and commercial middleware including MS SQL and Oracle databases on Windows Operating Systems.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities in English.

• Willingness to travel internationally.

• PMI Certification.

• Additional IT certifications are a plus.
