Director – Technical Program Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Build, lead, and nurture a team of technical program managers.

• Establish the benchmark for program execution throughout the organization.

• Take ownership of the complete delivery of the AI roadmap, which includes planning, sequencing, tracking, and executing initiatives.

• Manage inter-team dependencies across engineering, data science, operations, marketing, and additional teams.

• Identify and eliminate obstacles to ensure predictable delivery.

• Drive change management and the adoption of delivered capabilities.

• Develop and oversee processes for intake, prioritization, planning, reviews, roadmapping, and status reporting.

• Highlight risks, blockers, and decisions while facilitating their resolution.

• Serve as a translator between technical and business stakeholders.

• Coordinate with engineering, data, operations, and marketing on scope, sequence, and outcomes.

• Manage relationships with vendors, budgets, and external partners.

• Measure delivery health and outcomes, reporting progress and value.

• Engage confidently in discussions regarding architecture, integration, and technical trade-offs.

• Collaborate closely with AI skills development and report to the Senior Director, AI Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in technical program or delivery management involving complex, cross-functional technology programs.

• Ideally, experience should include AI, data, or platform initiatives.

• Demonstrated ability in managing dependencies and stakeholders across teams not directly controlled.

• Proven track record in achieving strong change management and adoption results.

• Technical fluency, including the capability to read code and comprehend system architecture and integrations.

• Experience in leading and developing teams, or a solid background indicating readiness for formal people leadership.

• Proficiency in agile and scrum delivery methodologies.

• Ability to communicate status, risks, and recommendations clearly to executives.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.

• Preferred: experience in delivering AI or automation programs.

• Preferred: familiarity with agent and skill frameworks and MCP-style connectors.

• Preferred: background in marketing, marketing technology, or commercial and go-to-market technology.

• Preferred: prior experience in systems engineering, integration, or architecture.

• Preferred: experience in vendor and budget management.

• Preferred: certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster or equivalent delivery credentials.

• Preferred: experience in regulated or high-accuracy industries.
