Director, Technical Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete hardware program execution from the feasibility stage to mass production.

• Develop and sustain integrated program plans that encompass hardware, firmware, validation, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain operations.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration among Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Operations, Quality, and external manufacturing partners.

• Manage program timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk assessment throughout the entire product lifecycle.

• Organize EVT, DVT, PVT, and production readiness activities to ensure that programs remain on schedule.

• Detect risks early, facilitate decision-making, and eliminate obstacles to uphold execution momentum.

• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure build readiness, production validation, and manufacturing ramp-up.

• Create scalable processes, communication routines, and execution frameworks that enhance operational efficiency.

• Utilize AI tools proactively to optimize program management workflows, automate repetitive tasks, enhance reporting, and speed up execution.

• Design and maintain no-code AI workflows, automations, or agents that boost productivity, planning precision, risk tracking, documentation, and team collaboration.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware product development, technical program management, or similar technical operations roles.

• Strong proficiency in AI with a proven ability to create no-code AI workflows, automations, or AI agents that enhance operational execution and team performance.

• Demonstrated history of successfully delivering physical products from initial concept to mass production.

• Comprehensive knowledge of EVT, DVT, PVT, manufacturing validation, and production ramp processes.

• Solid technical expertise in hardware systems, firmware integration, manufacturing workflows, and supply chain operations.

• Experience in PCB and PCBA development, validation testing, tooling, packaging, and factory processes.

• Familiarity with working alongside contract manufacturers, suppliers, and globally distributed cross-functional teams.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and organizational leadership capabilities.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Experience in medical device, digital health, consumer electronics, or other regulated hardware environments is preferred.
