Director, Technical Accounting, Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical accounting operations, encompassing the interpretation and application of U.S. GAAP.

• Act as the subject matter expert for ASC 606 revenue recognition, which includes contract assessment, policy formulation, and resolution of issues.

• Manage and coordinate global statutory audits, including those in non-U.S. locations.

• Collaborate with external audit firms to ensure adherence to local GAAP and statutory reporting obligations.

• Prepare and uphold accounting policies and technical memos for intricate transactions.

• Lead the adoption and execution of new accounting standards.

• Supervise relationships with external auditors and advisors.

• Enhance and sustain internal controls relating to financial reporting.

• Serve as the technical expert for ASC 842 lease standards.

• Oversee accounting processes for acquisitions, including the management of opening balance sheets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA highly preferred).

• Over 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including roles in public accounting and industry.

• Extensive knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition.

• Significant experience in managing statutory audits across various non-U.S. jurisdictions.

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Experience in direct interactions with external auditors and executive leadership.
