Director, Strategy – Corporate Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• You will be at the forefront of executing the PMI strategic planning process and corporate development initiatives to facilitate strategy formulation, approval, and implementation, including managing the daily strategic planning activities.

• Collaborating with departmental leaders to ensure the successful implementation of strategic projects or corporate development transactions.

• Assisting in maintaining ongoing alignment among various groups.

• Offering guidance and support for business market planning within operations, while overseeing necessary competitive and industry analyses to ensure alignment with strategic goals, operational strategies, and market demands.

• Leading the creation and execution of analytical frameworks to identify, prioritize, structure, and address complex business challenges.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or a related field; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in roles that emphasize financial or strategic analytics, including strategy, strategic/financial planning, or financial decision support roles (e.g., brand, supply chain, customer/sales).

• Previous experience and success in prestigious strategy consulting firms, investment banks, or corporate strategy and development teams, with a strong preference for experience in strategic planning practices.

• Proven hands-on experience in strategy development and business plan formulation, demonstrating a positive impact on revenue, market penetration, and/or preferred customer outcomes.

• Experience in executing and integrating acquisitions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and similar initiatives.

• Proficiency in leading and collaborating within an agile, dynamic, and customer-focused environment.

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills; proactively interact with a wide range of stakeholders to understand issues and collaboratively develop solutions. Ability to drive discussions to closure and action.

• Strong capability to manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% as required by the role.

• Expertise in negotiating the terms of mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

• Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of working with customers, volunteer leaders, and external organizations from diverse cultures and backgrounds, resulting in positive outcomes.

• Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with others to achieve results, as well as work independently on a range of sensitive, confidential, and complex matters simultaneously.

• Capability to oversee and manage multiple projects, teams, and individuals with a proactive and adaptable approach.
