This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee communications planning for designated accounts, crafting audience-centric strategies that outline channel responsibilities, message sequencing, and quantifiable results.
• Convert brand and business briefs into cohesive communications frameworks, incorporating audience segmentation and consumer journey mapping.
• Create and refine creative briefs grounded in insights and focused propositions.
• Act as a senior strategic advisor to clients regarding communications, campaign strategies, channel planning, and audience engagement.
• Direct integrated planning across paid, owned, and earned media, clarifying channel functions, message sequencing, and establishing business-aligned KPIs.
• Simplify complex business challenges into strategic frameworks for clients and internal creative and media teams.
• Collaborate with media, creative, CRM, and e-commerce leads to ensure comprehensive alignment across all funnels.
• Propel new business initiatives by devising communication strategies and delivering presentations during agency pitches.
• Supervise audience analysis, consumer journey mapping, and competitive intelligence.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of planners.
• Advocate for measurement and learning agendas alongside analytics teams.
• Keep abreast of emerging media trends, platform innovations, and cultural dynamics.
• Showcase DEPT®’s strategic capabilities through thought leadership, industry events, and agency positioning.
• 8–12 years of experience in communications planning, media strategy, or integrated planning within an agency context, including leadership roles.
• Demonstrated capability to cultivate and maintain senior client relationships at the executive level.
• Extensive knowledge of paid, owned, and earned media.
• Experience in leading integrated marketing strategies across media, creative, CRM, and/or e-commerce.
• Proven success in building, mentoring, and developing high-performing planning teams.
• Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to transform data, research, and insights into actionable communications frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for senior stakeholders and C-suite clients.
• Proficiency in planning tools and audience intelligence platforms, such as GWI, MRI-Simmons, Nielsen, and Comscore.
• Experience in new business development and a track record of contributing to and winning agency-level pitches.
• Proficiency in AI and comfort in utilizing emerging tools to enhance planning efficiency and generate insights.
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented leadership approach suited to a dynamic, matrixed environment.
• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S. as verified through E-Verify.
