Director, Strategic Initiatives – AI Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of Evolent’s AI-native platform program.

• Manage the governance, risks, dependencies, and execution across several parallel workstreams.

• Coordinate between architecture, engineering, product, data science, and business teams.

• Ensure that platform capabilities produce scalable operational results, measurable business value, and sustainable adoption.

• Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for value realization.

• Provide executive-level reporting on progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes.

• Mentor, coach, and guide project managers.

• Lead the migration of AI agents and applications to the new platform, including planning, testing, validation, and cutover.

• Facilitate standards for platform onboarding, architecture patterns, and development requirements.

• Drive architectural and design choices that promote adoption and reduce technical debt.

• Integrate responsible AI, security, privacy, compliance, and clinical safety requirements into platform delivery.

• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational obligations.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to delivery, operations, technical issues, and compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

• 7-10+ years of program management experience leading intricate, cross-functional technology programs, including the development and implementation of new platform capabilities.

• Proven experience in leading architecture, engineering, product, data science, and business stakeholders through platform modernization efforts and application migrations.

• Track record of successfully driving highly complex cross-functional initiatives and aligning business, operational, and technology stakeholders towards common outcomes.

• Strong ability to influence senior executives and foster alignment among competing stakeholder groups.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience in developing and monitoring KPIs and metrics for value realization.

• High-speed internet connection of over 10 Mbps at home.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Business, Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

• Preferred: Program management certification (PMP, PgMP, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent).

• Preferred: Experience with event-driven architectures, document or data processing pipelines, cloud-native platforms, or AI/ML and intelligent workflow solutions.

• Preferred: Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards and prior authorization workflows.

• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, payer, provider, utilization management, or regulated industries.
