This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guide the marketing team's engagement in software product strategy, feature prioritization, and user experience choices.
• Act as the main point of contact for the IT/software development group, championing user requirements and business priorities.
• Establish and refine the product roadmap based on client feedback, competitive dynamics, and strategic objectives.
• Ensure that product development is in line with brand standards, user expectations, and market differentiation.
• Manage messaging, positioning, and promotion of Varsity Yearbook’s proprietary software solutions.
• Create go-to-market strategies for new software features and platform enhancements.
• Work alongside sales, customer experience, and creative teams on launch materials, videos, training guides, and email campaigns.
• Supervise customer-facing help content, which includes guides, videos, tutorials, and knowledge bases.
• Develop onboarding, adoption, and in-app guidance systems and processes.
• Collaborate with Field Marketing and Customer Experience teams to create scalable training resources and toolkits.
• Assess the effectiveness of customer resources and identify areas for content enhancement.
• Bridge marketing, IT, product, and customer-facing teams.
• Convert technical capabilities into benefit-oriented messaging for non-technical audiences.
• Spearhead internal communication plans and field-readiness initiatives for software launches.
• Oversee product marketing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
• Lead and develop direct reports or contractors who support product marketing and enablement.
• Contribute to marketing leadership objectives and cross-functional workflows.
• Extensive experience in the yearbook industry and a solid understanding of user needs.
• Over 7 years of experience in product marketing or product management with a focus on software or technology tools.
• Strong grasp of B2B marketing, digital tools, and SaaS-style product development cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and translate technical concepts into engaging customer experiences.
• Outstanding written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in education, publishing, or ed-tech markets is preferred.
