Director, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of software engineers.

• Evaluate and enhance your team's structure and skill sets.

• Take ownership of the technical direction and delivery processes for an engineering domain.

• Convert business requirements into technical priorities and actionable plans.

• Improve the technical expertise of engineers through design reviews and guidance.

• Ensure the team develops and maintains high-quality software.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software development.

• More than 3 years of experience in formal people management, specifically leading software engineers.

• Deep technical expertise in at least one relevant engineering domain.

• Proven experience in leading the delivery of complex systems.

• Strong proficiency in C#, Go, TypeScript, and React.

• Demonstrated ability to oversee the entire software development lifecycle.

• Solid understanding of architecture, data flows, APIs, cloud environments, and operational dependencies.
