Director, Security Engineer – DevSecOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategic approach to technical security for both product and application security.

• Design and implement a holistic DevSecOps pipeline.

• Promote threat modeling practices while collaborating with engineering leadership.

• Create and execute a centralized security telemetry framework.

• Oversee the technical assessment and deployment of security tools.

• Build and provide guidance to a team of DevSecOps engineers.

• Manage the technical roadmap aimed at enhancing detection times and combating fraud.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a senior technical leadership position within security engineering.

• In-depth knowledge of the secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC).

• Practical experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, and SIEM platforms.

• Broad understanding of cloud security, specifically with AWS and/or GCP.

• Experience in developing and scaling DevSecOps initiatives.

• Proficiency in at least two programming languages (Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript).

• Understanding of compliance standards (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, LGPD/GDPR).

• Strong communication skills in both Portuguese and English.

• Prior experience in application security engineering and implementing DevSecOps pipelines is required.
