This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Lead, inspire, and oversee a team of sales professionals to achieve or surpass sales objectives within the designated region or vertical.
• Establish performance standards, offer coaching, and facilitate professional growth.
• Define individual sales targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance metrics.
• Instruct and mentor on the Paylocity sales methodology.
• Monitor sales activities and performance, providing support to navigate obstacles and finalize deals.
• Conduct team meetings, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
• Create and implement sales strategies aimed at meeting revenue and growth goals.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for new customer acquisition, account expansion, and upselling.
• Ensure effective management of the sales pipeline and lead conversion processes.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on sales initiatives.
• Develop and sustain relationships with customers, prospects, and partners.
• Escalate significant accounts and intricate sales opportunities.
• Cultivate a sales culture focused on customer satisfaction.
• Monitor sales performance and generate reports detailing results, forecasts, and metrics.
• Utilize CRM systems for managing leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
• Analyze sales data and market trends to enhance processes and sales tactics.
• Report on sales performance and market conditions to senior management.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams.
• Assist in the development of sales materials, product presentations, and proposals.
• Provide insights on customers, competition, and market conditions to product and marketing teams.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
• Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in sales or business operations.
• At least 2 years of experience managing HCM Account Executives.
• Familiarity with major account payroll, HR, time and attendance solutions, and large, complex organizations.
• Proficient in using CRM software.
• Experience in leading and motivating a sales team, with a focus on both individual and team performance development.
• Strong leadership abilities paired with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Willingness to travel and operate in a virtual work environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving market landscape.
• Physical capability for sitting, standing, and walking.
• Mobility for driving to potential client locations.
• Manual dexterity in both hands for operating a computer keyboard and handling small objects.
