Director, Revenue, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the functions related to revenue, reporting, and technical accounting.

• Take ownership of the complete month-end and quarter-end revenue accounting close process.

• Act as the primary subject matter expert for ASC 606.

• Review and evaluate customer contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment.

• Directly supervise, mentor, and develop the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and the Revenue Accountant.

• Drive and engage in ad hoc projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement.

• Collaborate with external auditors on revenue-related audit procedures.

• Manage the accounting and reporting aspects of the cost of sales.

• Oversee the methodology for the allowance for credit losses in compliance with ASC 326.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.

• At least 8 years of experience in public accounting and/or revenue and financial reporting.

• Previous experience in people management is required, including direct supervisory responsibilities; experience in managing professional accounting staff (e.g., managers or senior accountants) is highly preferred.

• Experience within the revenue department of a public company is essential.

• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and GAAP.

• Advanced knowledge of SEC reporting and disclosure requirements.

• CPA license is mandatory.

• Experience in Big Four public accounting is preferred.

• Familiarity with SEC reporting tools, especially Workiva.

• Knowledge of NetSuite Software is an advantage.
