Director, Retail Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage both new and existing member companies along with their employees to enhance participation in NACS.

• Utilize the Membership Support Team and other NACS departments to promote and facilitate member engagement.

• Articulate the value proposition of NACS engagement and membership to the industry and NACS team.

• Assist in the formulation and realization of strategic retail engagement objectives, KPIs, and metrics.

• Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with leaders of NACS retail member companies, particularly medium-sized domestic retailers with 10 to 200 stores.

• Boost awareness and participation in NACS events, activities, products, and services.

• Aid in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reports.

• Implement and support marketing strategies and campaigns to attract new members and retain and engage current members.

• Address membership inquiries regarding applications and renewals, coordinating processing with the Membership Support Team.

• Actively engage and assist members and attendees during the NACS Show and other NACS events.

• Execute additional duties as required in the normal course of business.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• At least five years of experience in the convenience and fuel industry in an executive-level role with a retailer, supplier, service provider, or industry association with relevant job experience.

• Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Anticipated travel for NACS-related business is approximately 20–30 percent.

• Previous experience as an engaged NACS member is desirable.

• Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft UX 365 is preferred.

• A background in sales and a passion for the field is advantageous.

• Experience in public speaking is a plus.
