This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Develop and implement a strategic framework for a cross-MSO research capability.
• Evaluate existing research capabilities within MSOs, pinpointing strengths, weaknesses, and overlaps.
• Create a future-state operational model that balances platform-level shared services with the specific needs of MSOs.
• Construct the business case for platform-level research infrastructure, focusing on investment, ROI, and revenue implications.
• Map out research functions, teams, technologies, and processes across MSOs.
• Establish criteria for assessing platform versus MSO placements of research capabilities.
• Collaborate with Data & AI and IT Infrastructure Affinity Groups to address technology and analytics requirements.
• Convert the operational model into a phased implementation roadmap.
• Lead the execution of platform strategy initiatives involving cross-functional teams and MSO stakeholders.
• Initiate pilot programs for proposed shared-services models.
• Manage interdependencies among MSOs, Affinity Groups, and the Strategic Operating Group.
• Establish governance structures for the research platform.
• Cultivate relationships with MSO leadership to gain support.
• Act as a liaison between the Head of Clinical Trial Services and MSO/Affinity Group stakeholders.
• Relay strategy, progress, recommendations, trade-offs, and risks to senior leadership.
• Define and track success metrics, including revenue growth, trial volume, and efficiency improvements.
• Adjust the strategy based on performance data and stakeholder insights.
• Document lessons learned and create reusable frameworks and playbooks.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare management, business administration, or a related area.
• Over 8 years of experience in clinical research, healthcare strategy, management consulting, or a comparable field.
• Proven experience in designing or scaling operational models across various business units.
• Experience in a private-equity-backed, multi-site, or platform/roll-up healthcare setting is highly preferred.
• Ability to transform strategy into actionable, milestone-oriented execution plans with minimal oversight.
• Capability to assess intricate cross-organizational issues and develop scalable operational models.
• Strong aptitude for evaluating current capabilities, constructing business cases, and utilizing data for platform design decisions.
• Skill in fostering alignment among peers, MSO leaders, and cross-functional collaborators without direct authority.
• Program management expertise, including structured plans with milestones, designated owners, and accountability mechanisms.
• Ability to distill complex information into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Familiarity with clinical trial operations, regulatory requirements, and specialty/value-based care models.
