This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Propel Playworks’ 2028 strategic objectives by synchronizing multi-regional fundraising initiatives with organizational aims, which encompass substantial growth in new corporate and foundation partnerships, regional funding expansion, diversification of institutional revenue, and long-term financial viability.
• Aid in the clear communication of Playworks’ impact - on both national and regional levels - thereby enhancing the organization's value proposition to institutional funding partners.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to develop annual plans aimed at achieving revenue goals.
• Direct the formulation and implementation of a multi-regional fundraising strategy that aligns with national revenue targets, with direct accountability for generating new revenue of $500,000–$600,000 each year from corporate and foundation sources across designated regions.
• Guarantee that each region meets or surpasses its fundraising goals — taking full responsibility for the funds raised, maintaining 3X pipeline coverage of the target, and achieving organization-standard win and conversion rates.
• Align, tailor, and enhance regional fundraising strategies, funder engagement plans, and priorities to complement Playworks’ national development strategy.
• Collaborate with regional Executive Directors and national leaders to identify, pursue, and secure new funding opportunities, including those that are multi-regional or national in scope.
• Work alongside and guide regional program and development teams in adopting effective fundraising models, offering strategic oversight, coaching, and support to regional development staff to ensure uniform execution and outcomes.
• Ensure that fundraising practices are cohesive, consistent, coordinated, and informed by data across regions, contributing to organization-wide visibility and confidence in revenue planning and risk management.
• Utilize data to inform decision-making, recognize trends, and suggest strategic adjustments to maximize efforts and enhance efficiency.
• 7-10+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven ability to secure and manage six-figure donations, partnerships, or multi-year funding, complemented by a strong background in multi-regional, national, or complex organizational development frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing fundraising strategies across various regions, including aligning local initiatives with national objectives.
• Strong experience in translating organizational vision or strategy into clear, actionable regional fundraising plans.
• Experience in cross-department collaboration and in coaching or supporting regional fundraising staff.
• Solid background in pipeline development, forecasting, and performance monitoring across diverse geographic regions.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling proposals, strategic plans, and presentations.
• Highly organized, analytical, and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and managing complex fundraising data.
• Proven ability to lead collaboratively, promote alignment, and contribute to a strengths-based, mission-driven organizational culture.
