This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify high-potential public-sector transportation opportunities throughout California, the North West, and Texas.
• Establish and nurture relationships with city, county, transit, planning, parking, economic development, elected officials, and regional stakeholders.
• Recognize communities exhibiting transportation needs and comprehend their political, operational, and funding landscapes.
• Educate both public- and private-sector stakeholders about Circuit’s electric microtransit model.
• Create service models, use cases, funding strategies, launch methodologies, and stakeholder alignment.
• Convert community transportation needs into Circuit solutions including on-demand microtransit, fixed-route shuttles, circulators, senior transportation, parking shuttles, first-mile/last-mile connections, and event mobility.
• Spot opportunities prior to formal procurements through planning discussions, board priorities, grant cycles, feasibility studies, and policy initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership, sales, operations, and proposal teams to qualify opportunities and develop the pipeline.
• Engage in discovery meetings, stakeholder briefings, public presentations, RFP interviews, and regional strategy discussions.
• Shape account strategy, messaging, and proposal positioning.
• Counsel prospects on procurement pathways, funding opportunities, board approvals, budget cycles, staff recommendations, transportation studies, and public meeting schedules.
• Formulate regional account strategies and identify key accounts for broader growth.
• Cultivate relationships with consultants, planning firms, advocacy groups, local associations, and regional partners.
• Assist in expanding into related private-sector opportunities.
• Over 8 years of experience in city, county, transit agency, transportation planning, public works, parking, mobility, economic development, regional planning, or leadership in public-sector transportation.
• Profound understanding of how local governments assess, fund, procure, and execute transportation programs.
• Strong network within California, particularly across Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and nearby communities.
• Established relationships with city staff, county staff, transit leaders, planners, consultants, elected officials, public works leaders, parking leaders, or regional mobility stakeholders.
• Experience in mobility programs, transit planning, public transportation, parking, microtransit, first-mile/last-mile planning, grant-funded projects, community shuttles, or transportation demand management is highly preferred.
• Ability to credibly communicate with public-sector stakeholders and translate community objectives into feasible mobility solutions.
• Comfortable learning and implementing a structured sales process, including CRM discipline, pipeline management, follow-up, and forecasting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ease in participating in presentations, public meetings, stakeholder workshops, and executive discussions.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and a readiness to operate in a rapidly evolving company environment where strategy, processes, and execution are continually refined.
• Residing in California, preferably between Los Angeles and San Diego, with a willingness to travel throughout the region as necessary.
