This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead vital strategic initiatives that align with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s mission.
• Manage intricate, cross-departmental projects that involve various divisions.
• Create frameworks for project governance.
• Transform strategy into risk-adjusted execution plans.
• Act as a strategic ally to senior executives and business leaders.
• Improve operational efficiency through redesigning operating models.
• Build and nurture collaborative teams.
• Oversee portfolios of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing business growth, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
• Ensure alignment with corporate goals.
• Direct key programs that facilitate company growth and global contributions to science.
• Advanced degree with 10 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of progressive experience in project/program management within complex organizations.
• Preferred areas of study include Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred (minimum Green Belt, ideal Black Belt).
• Proven track record in leading large-scale transformation initiatives and change management programs in a consultative setting.
• Strong financial skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource management experience.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership communication abilities.
• Experience in developing and supporting effective teams.
• Experience in regulated environments, ideally in life sciences or healthcare.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform effectively within a matrix organization.
• Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Demonstrated capability to influence through collaboration.
• Proficient in project management software and the MS Office suite.
• Some travel may be required for the role, typically ranging from 20–30%.
• Strong risk management and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
