This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Lead strategic initiatives and projects that contribute to the mission of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
• Drive innovation and excellence across various business units by overseeing complex portfolios.
• Build and mentor high-performing teams to ensure the successful execution of critical projects.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Facilitate portfolio governance, optimize resources, and standardize best practices in program management.
• Assist with organizational change management efforts related to transformation programs.
• Oversee programs that involve strategic, digital, and operating model transformations.
• Manage portfolios with budgets in the millions and significant revenue implications.
• Utilize program management methodologies, tools, best practices, and stage-gate processes.
• Collaborate with and guide teams in matrix organizations without having direct authority.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively at the executive level.
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and develop business cases.
• Implement Agile methodologies and tailor approaches to meet project requirements.
• Align programs with overarching business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate risks while solving problems effectively.
• Build and nurture high-performing teams.
• Travel may be required up to 20%.
• An advanced degree accompanied by 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of program/project management experience in regulated environments.
• Preferred educational fields include Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Proven success in leading complex, cross-functional programs from inception to delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of strategic, digital, and operating model transformations.
• Experience managing portfolios with multi-million-dollar budgets and significant revenue effects.
• Proficient in program management methodologies, tools, and best practices, including stage-gate processes.
• Capability to collaborate and guide teams in matrix organizations without direct authority.
• Excellent skills in stakeholder management and communication at the executive level.
• Strong financial acumen, covering budgeting, forecasting, and business case development.
• Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Smartsheet, and PPM tools.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the ability to adjust approaches based on project requirements.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align programs with business objectives.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in regulated environments, particularly GMP and FDA, is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
• Experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong skills in risk management and problem-solving.
• PMP certification is preferred.
