Director, Professional Services PMO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategic and operational implementation of the Professional Services function within a designated region.

• Promote the adoption of global Professional Services standards, methodologies, tools, and governance protocols.

• Perform project quality assessments that encompass plans, milestones, financial projections, risks, issues, and customer obligations.

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Delivery Leaders to enhance planning rigor, execution discipline, and delivery consistency.

• Identify trends in delivery and recurring challenges, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist regional Sales and Delivery leadership through structured deal evaluations prior to contract signing.

• Evaluate project scope, implementation strategy, staffing viability, delivery risks, and commercial aspects.

• Ensure that Statements of Work are feasible and aligned with delivery capabilities and global standards.

• Lead regional project audit readiness and governance evaluations.

• Collaborate with Finance and Revenue Recognition teams on audit inquiries and corrective actions.

• Foster the adoption of global PS templates, tools, and methodologies.

• Enhance processes, project management tools, and delivery capabilities.

• Direct regional portfolio governance and operational rhythms.

• Provide insights into delivery performance, project health, forecasts, and emerging risks.

• Support executive business reviews with dashboards and operational insights.

• Enhance forecasting accuracy, delivery predictability, and portfolio performance.

• Act as the regional point of contact for delivery governance, project quality, operational reporting, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Delivery Leadership, Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, and other cross-functional teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8–12+ years of experience in Professional Services, Consulting Operations, or Delivery Operations within a global SaaS environment.

• Proven experience in enhancing delivery governance, portfolio management, project quality, and operational execution within large, complex services organizations.

• Experience collaborating with regional delivery leadership to improve execution, delivery consistency, and customer outcomes.

• Background in supporting structured deal evaluations, project governance, audit readiness, and executive reporting.

• Experience in leading organizational change and promoting the adoption of standardized delivery methodologies and governance practices.

• Strong background with PSA platforms such as Upland, Certinia, or similar, along with CRM systems; Salesforce is preferred.

• Familiarity with project and portfolio management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar.

• Practical experience utilizing AI and automation for operational efficiency, reporting, project management, and delivery insights.

• Advanced skills in Excel and Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar.

• Understanding of financial management in services and revenue recognition principles.

• Strong analytical abilities and business acumen.

• Excellent communication skills with executives and effective stakeholder management.

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic environment with a continuous improvement mindset and focus on scalable, repeatable processes.

• Capability to build partnerships across Delivery, Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Product, and other cross-functional teams.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field is required.

• An MBA is preferred.
