This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Formulate and Implement AI Detection Strategy
• Design and carry out a comprehensive strategy for AI-driven threat detection and protection across multiple products
• Enhance Talos' proprietary AI and machine learning capabilities to effectively counter advanced cyber threats and nation-state actors
• Recognize emerging threat patterns and convert them into detection and protection mechanisms within Cisco's security suite
• Manage the Product Lifecycle
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of AI and ML detection systems and protection services
• Establish and evaluate success metrics based on coverage, effectiveness, performance, adoption, and customer outcomes
• Foster continuous innovation while maintaining operational excellence and scalability
• Facilitate Portfolio Integration
• Spearhead the integration of Talos AI detections and protections into Cisco Security products and platforms
• Create a cohesive intelligence-first customer experience across network, cloud, endpoint, identity, and AI security solutions
• Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and security teams to establish shared data models, telemetry requirements, and detection frameworks
• Partner with ecosystem collaborators, SIEM, SOAR, and Cisco Cloud control and Security control platforms to enhance customer value
• Lead Through Influence
• Align stakeholders with strategic priorities, technical direction, and business outcomes while driving cross-functional execution among globally distributed teams
• Establish Responsible AI Practices
• Set standards for ethical, transparent, and resilient AI security solutions to ensure AI detection models are unbiased, explainable, secure, and resistant to adversarial threats
• Ensure product alignment with global privacy, compliance, and data sovereignty regulations
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 8+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years of experience, including 4+ years in direct or indirect leadership roles
• 5+ years of leadership experience in enterprise cybersecurity solutions, including threat intelligence or security-focused AI/ML products
• Proven experience in building and scaling security platforms, detection technologies, or threat intelligence solutions
• Experience in driving large-scale, cross-functional initiatives across engineering, data science, and business teams
• Familiarity with threat intelligence, detection engineering, or security operations is preferred
• Experience in leading multi-product or platform-level strategies is preferred
• Knowledge of GenAI, Agentic AI, LLM security, and AI governance frameworks is preferred
• Strong communication and executive presentation abilities are preferred
