📋 Description

• Lead the business segment for Data and Outcomes, taking responsibility for portfolio performance, value realization, and delivery results.

• Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap and enterprise investment strategy, focusing on prioritization, sequencing, and tradeoff decisions that enhance data impact and return on investment (ROI).

• Establish portfolio-level north-star metrics and KPIs to ensure investments yield measurable customer value (outcomes, adoption, time-to-value, reliability, utilization).

• Create and maintain a portfolio operating plan encompassing capacity allocation, headcount planning, vendor/tooling investments, and roadmap commitments.

• Set up and manage a product investment governance model (e.g., annual planning, quarterly reforecasting, business area reviews) to ensure transparency and accountability.

• Formulate business cases for new investments that include market sizing, customer value, anticipated benefits, risks, and implementation plans.

• Collaborate with Finance and Commercial leadership to oversee and report on business outcomes linked to Data investments (e.g., revenue enablement, margin, retention impact).

• Act as Amwell’s senior product leader for Health Plan data (population health, claims, eligibility, provider, risk, quality, utilization) and associated outcomes frameworks.

• Promote understanding and strategic initiatives related to Health Plan data, including claims, eligibility, provider, risk, quality, and utilization data.

• Convert customer needs and requests into clear product strategies and comprehensive requirements, ensuring scalable and repeatable capabilities rather than one-off solutions.

• Advise on internal, cross-functional initiatives across Product, Clinical, Services, Engineering, and Sales, utilizing industry knowledge and expertise to enhance implementation feasibility and cost-effectiveness.

• Work alongside Legal, Privacy & Security to oversee data rights, regulatory constraints, and compliance issues connected to product usage.

• Ensure successful delivery across various teams by establishing clear priorities, eliminating obstacles, and holding stakeholders accountable for their commitments.

• Advocate for the data product strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities during customer meetings, executive briefings, and strategic sales discussions.

• Serve as a vital voice in enterprise customer engagements, building credibility and trust while influencing roadmap direction through disciplined discovery.

• Collaborate across multiple organizational levels, including leadership and operational teams; adjust the detail and messaging to fit the audience.

• Engage with customers and customer-facing teams to validate product strategy and direction, fostering influential customer relationships.

• Integrate direct customer feedback and market insights into ongoing product discovery and roadmap development.

• Build, lead, and nurture a high-performing team of Product Managers; establish expectations for product rigor, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

• Elevate the broader Product team’s understanding of customer data needs, industry trends, and how to translate data investments into customer value.

• Function as a hands-on product leader while directly managing and developing Product Managers.

• Provide coaching, mentorship, and clear guidance to aid individual growth, strategic thinking, customer engagement, storytelling, and execution excellence.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Product Management with proven leadership in enterprise software products and data products.

• Demonstrated experience managing portfolios and influencing executive investment decisions with a market/customer-centric approach.

• Proven success in defining and rallying teams around a multi-year vision and roadmap, including establishing governance, prioritization frameworks, and measurable KPIs.

• Extensive experience directly working with Health Plans within a software or analytics environment, possessing deep fluency in payer data models (including eligibility, claims, population health, HEDIS/STARS, gaps in care, etc.).

• Strong understanding of healthcare data governance, regulatory requirements, and payer operating models.

• Exceptional communicator with a strong executive presence and the capability to distill complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives.

• Proven track record of translating customer needs into effective product solutions and measurable outcomes.

• Experience scaling data products from initial concept to widespread adoption.

• In-depth knowledge of Product Management processes and lifecycle management.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities in building, coaching, and scaling product teams.
