This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the product vision and long-term roadmap for A2A payment rails, including ACH (both standard and same-day), RTP, FedNow, push-to-card, open banking, disbursements, and payouts.
• Develop the business case and go-to-market strategy for each money movement capability, establishing clear revenue targets, margin expectations, and partner adoption metrics.
• Create and oversee a product P&L for the money movement value stream; conduct quarterly reviews with Finance and report findings to the CPO.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of partner and merchant use cases—such as disbursements, refunds, insurance payouts, earned wage access, B2B transfers, settlement, payroll, and collections—and translate these into a unique product strategy.
• Manage relationships with banks, ODFI/RDFI, and payment networks (Nacha, The Clearing House, FedNow Service, etc.) in collaboration with Business Development.
• Collaborate with Engineering leadership on ledger, settlement, reconciliation, and fraud/risk architecture for A2A payment rails.
• Define the bank account verification strategy—including micro-deposits, instant verification, and open banking connectivity—and oversee the partner integration approach.
• Create fraud, compliance, risk, and operational frameworks for A2A products in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Payment Ops teams.
• Advocate for A2A capabilities internally and externally, fostering awareness and support across Sales, Partner Success, and peer product teams to promote cross-functional alignment and identify new use cases.
• Promote cross-selling and upselling of A2A capabilities within NMI's extensive partner network of over 6,000 ISOs and ISVs.
• Build, manage, and mentor a team of Product Managers and Designers: establish OKRs, maintain growth plans, and oversee performance management.
• Actively utilize AI tools in your workflow—such as specification writing, competitive analysis, customer feedback synthesis, and discovery acceleration—and instill this expectation in your team.
• Represent A2A externally in various settings, including customer workshops, sales calls, industry conferences, and through written thought leadership.
• Contribute to the NMI product culture by sharing market insights, mentoring PMs across value streams, and participating in hiring and onboarding processes.
• Minimum of 8 years in product management, with at least 5 years in payments or financial services.
• Direct experience managing A2A payment products—such as ACH, RTP, FedNow, push-to-card, or open banking—not limited to card processing, with a solid understanding of the rails, rules, and associated risks.
• Proven history of building and expanding revenue-generating payment products, including defining pricing, managing a product P&L, and executing partner go-to-market strategies.
• At least 3 years of experience leading a team of Product Managers, demonstrating a track record of talent development and elevating performance standards.
• Experience in leading and scaling geographically distributed teams within a fast-paced, high-performance business unit.
• Experience guiding product development through a corporate acquisition, including integration strategy, platform consolidation, and cultural alignment.
• Player/coach mentality: capable of drafting strategic documents while also reviewing acceptance criteria, maintaining visibility in day-to-day operations.
• Strong commercial acumen, linking every product decision to revenue impact, partner growth, merchant volume, and customer satisfaction.
• Extensive experience engaging directly with customers, defining personas, identifying jobs to be done, and establishing customer feedback loops.
• Experience collaborating directly with Engineering on payment system architecture, including ledgers, settlement, reconciliation, return handling, and exception processing.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage data-driven insights to quickly identify key performance drivers and guide prioritization.
• Exceptional execution capabilities with a proactive approach, swiftly adapting to changing priorities.
• Proficient in using AI tools for product work, utilizing them regularly and expecting the same from your team.
• Outstanding communication skills: able to convey a three-year vision to the CPO while also explaining ACH return codes to a new partner on the same day.
