This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Establish the UX strategy for the fundamental AI and agentic experience, encompassing the vision and roadmap towards the product's north star.
• Collaborate with the SVP of Product and various PMs in New York and the UK to champion the optimal experience within business, timeline, and technical limitations.
• Tackle intricate, data-rich UX challenges that involve defaults, information overload, AI trust, transparency, citations, confidence, control, reversibility, and cohesion across different surfaces.
• Prototype using code and real data, make direct contributions to high-impact surfaces, and elevate the standard of craftsmanship.
• Establish design standards that are native to AI across the product.
• Assist in the advancement of a design system that is both code- and AI-readable.
• Mentor, develop, and support a small team of senior designers.
• Recruit and assess team members as the organization expands.
• Enhance team effectiveness through UX audits, opportunity maps, product narratives, design reviews, and quality benchmarks.
• Persuasively present proposals to VP and C-level stakeholders, utilizing customer insights and business results as evidence.
• Over 10 years of relevant design experience in technical and product-focused companies.
• Proven history of owning and delivering the experience for a significant product area, preferably in complex, data-rich, or expert-user sectors.
• A minimum of 3 years in people management is preferred.
• Strong product-design judgment and the capacity to influence direction based on evidence.
• Expertise in AI-native product judgment, including trust, control, and workflow transformation in agentic and probabilistic systems.
• Practical craft and technical proficiency; skilled in prototyping with code.
• Experience with React or modern front-end technologies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools within the design workflow.
• Ability to lead people, coach, and develop teams effectively.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical partners.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity across teams.
• Interest in or experience with financial services, fintech, or other high-stakes professional fields.
• Willingness to travel or be based in NYC, a similar time zone, or work collaboratively with those teams.
