Director, Procurement

📋 Description

• The Director of Procurement is tasked with overseeing the procurement operations of the company, emphasizing the optimization of vendor expenditures, fostering strategic sourcing initiatives, enhancing vendor governance, and improving contract negotiation skills throughout the organization.

• Take ownership of and lead intricate contract negotiations across significant spending categories, which include software/SaaS, hardware, professional services, and various enterprise vendor agreements.

• Assemble, guide, and nurture a unified, high-performing procurement team capable of delivering financial and operational benefits for the organization.

• Formulate and implement a multi-year procurement strategy in collaboration with Finance leadership, ensuring alignment between spending management priorities and the company's growth objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or contract negotiation, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a procurement team, function, or major procurement transformation project.

• Proven track record in leading complex, high-value contract negotiations across various spending categories, such as software/SaaS, professional services, hardware, and enterprise services.

• Proficient in utilizing ERP, procurement, contract lifecycle management, or analytics tools for managing spending, vendor activities, contracts, and reporting.

• Experience in preparing executive-level reports, presentations, and written communications concerning procurement activities, savings, vendor performance, and spending management.

• Familiarity with SAP, DocuSign, Salesforce, procurement automation, AI-enabled tools, or data analytics platforms is preferred.

• Experience in a technology, SaaS, healthcare technology, or regulated business setting is preferred.
