Director, Pricing & Payer Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to the Executive Director, Contracting, and Pricing in all pertinent matters, ensuring timely and successful completion of all tasks and responsibilities.

• Oversee data preparation, validation, calculation, and analytics associated with the management of government and commercial contracts.

• Analyze, document, review, and submit all required product and pricing obligations for federal and state government programs, including but not limited to Medicaid (AMP, BP, USA, state reporting), Office of Pharmacy Affairs (PHS), and Veteran Affairs (NFAMP, FCP, FSS, IFF, TRICARE) within the designated timelines.

• Collaborate with third-party partners responsible for state price transparency reporting, government pricing, and related activities.

• Spearhead the development of pricing and contracting strategies for product launches.

• Engage with key stakeholders to effectively monitor contract performance and provide insights on the current and future business landscape, including competitive actions and market trends.

• Partner closely with all relevant stakeholders to execute contract strategies tactically.

• Support Account Directors in contract negotiations, either directly with customers or indirectly.

• Build relationships with key decision-makers during customer and industry meetings.

• Facilitate and coordinate the generation of external and internal insights based on collaboration with internal and external partners regarding industry trends and competitive dynamics.

• Lead innovative contracting initiatives and define their impact on contract strategies for major clients.

• Maintain methodologies for government pricing, standard operating procedures, and reasonable assumptions pertaining to government programs and pricing to align with current federal statutes and regulations.

• Conduct trend analytics and perform comparisons to benchmarks to support calculations.

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all responsibilities related to the IRA.

• Carry out miscellaneous duties and responsibilities to support Market Access activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other relevant fields, complemented by 10 years of pertinent experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proven experience with government price calculation and reporting for state and federal programs (Medicaid, PHS, FSS, state price transparency, etc.).

• Knowledgeable about accounting systems processes and controls, with a solid understanding of general accounting practices.

• Committed to quality management by seeking improvements and promoting accuracy and thoroughness.

• Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, and comfortable learning and utilizing enterprise-wide accounting systems.

• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, a robust work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.

• Capable of working independently while effectively communicating and coordinating efforts with others.
