This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.
β’ Lead the advocacy strategy focused on addressing policy matters that impact the company and the pharmaceutical sector.
β’ Assist in developing strategies for access to and reimbursement for company products within state-funded initiatives.
β’ Support state licensure, economic growth, taxation, real estate, and employer-related policy concerns.
β’ Act as the company's representative on regional trade and business association task forces and committees, including those for PhRMA and BIO.
β’ Serve as the primary lead for designated policy priorities, overarching issues, and/or state policy organizations.
β’ Participate in internal cross-functional teams.
β’ Engage with external legislative, policy, and advocacy organizations at both state and national levels.
β’ Oversee the management of company resources within the region.
β’ Ensure that state advocacy efforts align with company policies and comply with state and federal regulations.
β’ Represent the company before executive, legislative, and regulatory entities in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
β’ A Bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field.
β’ At least 10 years of experience in state government affairs and policy.
β’ Proven knowledge of the state legislative policy-making process.
β’ Familiarity with policy issues impacting the bio-pharmaceutical industry.
β’ Experience in analyzing state legislation.
β’ Demonstrated capacity to influence state legislative policy through direct advocacy efforts.
β’ Strong writing and presentation abilities.
β’ An advanced degree related to public policy is preferred.
β’ Experience with direct lobbying on bio-pharmaceutical healthcare issues across multiple states is preferred.
β’ Ability to work remotely within Texas, Louisiana, or Oklahoma.
β’ Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time (also noted as 50% travel requirements).
