Director, Platform Operations

📋 Description

• Overseeing global Platform Operations teams that support Akamai's distributed cloud infrastructure and services.

• Establishing the strategic vision and roadmap to improve operational capabilities.

• Driving process enhancements, operational excellence, and ongoing improvement throughout global operations.

• Leading international programs and cross-department initiatives that boost platform availability and reliability.

• Advocating for AI, automation, and innovation to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness.

• Promoting AI, automation, and tooling projects that improve efficiency, scalability, and service reliability.

• Utilizing systems thinking to scale operations, mitigate risks, and align with business objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in managing large-scale operations and infrastructure.

• Practical experience in developing tools and automation through Python and AI models to enhance operational efficiency.

• Proven experience leading global teams that support mission-critical platforms in a 24x7 environment.

• Strong expertise in Linux, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.

• Exceptional skills in executive communication, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making.
