This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ The Director / Senior Director, Payer National Accounts, will play a vital role as a commercial leader, tasked with crafting and implementing the national account strategy for the company.
β’ Build and nurture relationships while negotiating with essential healthcare stakeholders such as Payer (GPOs), Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), and National Health Plans.
β’ Develop and maintain executive-level partnerships with key stakeholders across PBMs, GPOs, and both national and regional payers, as well as specialty pharmacies.
β’ Recognize, prioritize, and secure formulary access opportunities that are in line with corporate goals.
β’ Act as the main commercial representative for designated national accounts, formulating account-specific business plans and performance targets.
β’ Oversee negotiations and management of rebate, formulary, and value-based agreements with PBMs and health plans.
β’ Work in collaboration with teams such as Pricing, Market Access, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to devise contract strategies and assess financial impacts.
β’ Keep track of payer coverage policies, competitive trends, and market dynamics to proactively modify account strategies.
β’ Aid in pull-through initiatives to enhance access and utilization within contracted entities.
β’ Contribute significantly to launch planning and commercialization activities.
β’ Collaborate effectively with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Trade, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Executive Leadership teams.
β’ A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, or a related field) is preferred.
β’ 10+ years of progressive experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, or healthcare organizations; experience with 505(b)(2) or drug delivery devices is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 5+ years in direct national account management, specifically overseeing Payer GPOs, PBMs, and National Health Plans (including government payers such as VA, DoD, and Medicaid).
β’ Exceptional customer relationship management, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse groups and influence across functions.
β’ Proven track record in negotiating complex agreements with Payer GPOs, PBMs, and National Health Plans.
β’ In-depth understanding of market access, payer dynamics, reimbursement, and healthcare contracting.
β’ Approximately 40β60% travel is expected, encompassing customer meetings, industry conferences, and internal planning sessions.
