This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Directs a team of HR Business Partners to ensure the consistent application of HR strategies throughout the network.
• Manages the relationship between the People Team and operations leaders (RVP, AD, GM), demonstrating HR's value through measurable business outcomes (e.g., retention, internal fill rate, time-to-fill, succession planning readiness, talent and performance, etc.).
• Transform company and regional business goals into a 12–24 month people strategy with defined KPIs, milestones, and ROI.
• Mentor senior leaders to enhance enterprise leadership behaviors; enhance managers' ability to lead change, provide/receive feedback, and manage performance.
• Sets direction and priorities for the regional HR team and direct reports, while identifying capabilities and competencies to nurture top HR talent within their region.
• Collaborates with other HRBP leaders (e.g., EMEA, LACAR, FSC) to maintain an enterprise perspective while supporting the company's global people strategy.
• Utilize cross-COE solutions (Comp/Benefits, TA, Talent Management, Learning, Leadership Development, Communications) to address complex challenges and proactively engage with COEs for process or work product refinements when necessary.
• Advocate for and take responsibility for the entire talent lifecycle, from talent attraction, selection, onboarding, performance enablement, development, to movement.
• Conduct thorough talent reviews and succession planning; enhance bench strength in ‘ready-enough’ and ‘ready in 12 months’ categories.
• Collaborate with workforce optimizations (WFO) to model scenarios (cost vs efficiency trade-offs) while prioritizing safety and guest experience.
• Assess organizational effectiveness (spans/layers, role clarity, decision rights, skills) and lead redesign initiatives that enhance speed, quality, and accountability.
• Plan and oversee regional aspects of transformations (e.g., systems, operating model, M&A integration); outline impacts, readiness, and adoption metrics.
• Leverage data to proactively identify risks/opportunities (attrition, vacancy rate, safety, employee relations).
• Consistently meet and surpass new HRBP KPIs and review them monthly with operations leaders, adjusting strategies to boost performance.
• Collaborate with TA to anticipate needs and expedite time-to-fill for key roles.
• Act as the escalation point for intricate union and/or employee relations issues to the Director of Labor and Employee Relations.
• Oversee an HR budget in alignment with company spending/saving goals and ensure fiscal responsibility within the team.
• Over 10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant time spent in a business-facing role; at least 5 years leading HRBPs/Generalists in multi-site operations.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of federal/state employment laws; strong business and financial acumen.
• Experience in organization design, talent management, change management, and labor relations.
• Exceptional communication, consulting, and client management abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the region; overnight stays as required.
• A Master’s degree or SPHR/SHRM-SCP is preferred.
• Experience in service-intensive industries (hospitality, aviation, luxury services) is highly preferred.
