Director, Operations and Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, assess, and onboard new accessory vendors and personalization suppliers to facilitate product growth and diversification.

• Negotiate contracts and pricing with accessory and packaging vendors to enhance margins while maintaining quality standards.

• Create and sustain a strategic sourcing roadmap that balances cost, quality, lead time, and supply chain resilience.

• Establish and nurture robust relationships with all external vendors, ensuring clear expectations regarding performance, quality, and delivery.

• Manage NPI timelines, milestone tracking, and ensure cross-functional alignment between internal teams and manufacturing partners.

• Oversee the complete PLM process, acting as the primary point of accountability for BOM version control and documentation integrity.

• Directly supervise Operations Team members, offering mentorship, guidance, and performance management.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive experience in operations and supply chain, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.

• Demonstrated success in managing overseas manufacturing partners and executing NPI programs.

• Practical experience in owning PLM and BOM management processes within a product-focused company.

• Strong skills in negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration.

• Exceptional cross-functional communication abilities — adept at collaborating with Engineering, Finance, and external stakeholders.

• Proficient in ERP, PLM, or supply chain management systems.

• Experience in consumer products, hardware, or accessories is preferred.

• Knowledge of consumer electronics compliance frameworks (RoHS, Prop 65, CPSC, UL) is preferred.
