Director of Value Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and expand MaintainX’s Value Consulting practice.

• Recruit, nurture, and guide a team of Value Consultants.

• Define engagement models for both pre-sales and post-sales phases.

• Create repeatable processes, tools, and value assets.

• Collaborate with Account Executives on key enterprise initiatives.

• Lead executive-level value discovery sessions and develop business cases.

• Quantify ROI focusing on asset uptime, labor efficiency, inventory optimization, compliance, and safety.

• Develop tailored total cost of ownership (TCO) and payback models for industrial operations.

• Assist with executive presentations, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and board discussions.

• Partner with Customer Success to monitor value delivery after implementation.

• Create frameworks and dashboards for value realization.

• Standardize success metrics across various industries including manufacturing, food & beverage, facilities, and energy.

• Identify opportunities for expansion driven by realized impact.

• Convert customer outcomes into unique messaging and proof points.

• Influence product strategy using insights related to economic impact.

• Collaborate with Marketing to develop case studies, benchmarks, and thought leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in Value Consulting, Strategic Finance, Management Consulting, or Enterprise SaaS.

• 3–5+ years of experience in leading or building high-performing teams.

• Experience in supporting enterprise SaaS sales cycles ranging from $100K to $1M+ ACV.

• Strong expertise in ROI modeling, financial analysis, and executive storytelling.

• Preferred experience in industrial, asset-intensive, or operations-focused environments.

• Executive presence with the capability to influence C-level stakeholders.

• Profound understanding of value-based selling methodologies.

• Exceptional skills in financial modeling and business case development.

• Strong cross-functional leadership and alignment skills.

• Data-driven mindset with a focus on operational rigor.

• Ability to excel in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
