Director of Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and guide the company’s technology roadmap and digital transformation efforts.

• Oversee and mentor a small team of technology professionals.

• Enhance logistics workflows, operational systems, and business processes.

• Lead the integration of TMS, CRM, operational, and customer-facing systems.

• Serve as a liaison between technology, operations, commercial teams, and leadership.

• Propel automation, AI, and data-driven improvements in operations.

• Assist in making architectural, workflow, and system design decisions throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 to 12+ years of experience in technology leadership roles within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain sectors.

• Strong leadership presence with the capability to function as part of a senior leadership team.

• Proven experience in leading teams and directing technology strategy in agile, fast-paced environments.

• Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear manner to non-technical stakeholders.

• Profound understanding of workflows, integrations, and systems architecture in logistics or freight forwarding contexts.

• Practical experience in enhancing or developing logistics systems and operational processes.

• Familiarity with TMS, CRM, Salesforce, customer-facing platforms, or comparable operational systems.

• Candidates with limited Salesforce experience but extensive freight forwarding architecture knowledge will also be considered.

• Comfortable in balancing strategic vision with effective execution.
