Director of Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the Technology strategy to ensure a modern, scalable, and resilient platform that supports the company's growth.

• Cultivate and empower Technology leadership, developing successors and establishing an organization capable of sustainable scaling.

• Attract, nurture, and retain talent, enhancing a high-performance culture rooted in autonomy, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Spearhead the company's transition to an AI-first organization by integrating artificial intelligence into products, processes, and the software development lifecycle.

• Ensure cohesion between Technology, Product, and Business, translating strategy into consistent execution and value creation for both customers and the company.

• Advocate for technical excellence through contemporary practices in architecture, software development, Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, SRE, observability, and Continuous Delivery.

• Manage Technology as a portfolio of investments, striking a balance between innovation, platform evolution, technical debt, security, reliability, and operational efficiency.

• Oversee budget, infrastructure, and strategic investment decisions, aiming for the optimal balance between cost, innovation, and growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in senior Technology leadership roles.

• A successful history of building and scaling high-performance Technology organizations.

• Demonstrated ability to develop leaders, create successors, and drive organizational change.

• Experience within technology companies, managing high-scale platforms and digital products.

• Proven experience collaborating with Product and business teams to define and implement corporate strategies.

• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and cloud computing.

• Extensive expertise in Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, SRE, observability, and Continuous Delivery.

• Familiarity with engineering metrics such as DORA, SPACE, and Flow Metrics.

• Experience utilizing artificial intelligence for productivity enhancements, automation, and innovation.

• Background in Technology financial management, budgeting, and strategic investment allocation.
