Director of Technical Product Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and consistently elevate the quality standards of the platform in terms of performance, reliability, security, scalability, and observability.

• Develop and implement the platform product roadmap that aligns with the needs of the business and its customers.

• Collect requirements from application teams and VPC customers, translating them into actionable product specifications.

• Prioritize investments in the platform, reduce technical debt, and address requests from application teams.

• Serve as the primary point of ownership for platform demand and its prioritization.

• Propel roadmap execution while managing interdependencies across various functions.

• Effectively communicate roadmap priorities, trade-offs, and strategic decisions to stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to influence the direction of the platform.

• Ensure that platform capabilities are designed to support long-term scalability and enterprise readiness.

• Promote predictable product delivery and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Technical Product Management.

• Proven track record of owning platform, infrastructure, developer platforms, APIs, or internal technical products.

• Deep understanding of hybrid SaaS architectures, including control plane and customer-deployed VPC environments.

• Demonstrated experience in defining and driving non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, security, scalability, and observability.

• History of delivering complex platform roadmaps and achieving measurable outcomes.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management across engineering, product, and business teams.

• Technical proficiency to grasp architecture, dependencies, migrations, technical debt, and platform trade-offs.

• Experience working in dynamic startup environments.

• Familiarity with enterprise or regulated settings such as SOX, SOC, finance, or compliance-heavy domains.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Must be comfortable coordinating with teams on the US East Coast and be available until approximately 2:30 AM IST.
