Director of Supply Chain Operations

📋 Description

• The Director of Supply Chain Operations will be instrumental in advancing Imagine’s mission to expand tablet-based learning solutions that empower children to achieve literacy and numeracy.

• They will spearhead the design and enhancement of our in-country supply chain infrastructure tailored to the low-resource settings where Imagine operates.

• Ensure that devices not only arrive in-country but are effectively delivered to learners, remain functional, and have an extended lifespan.

• Foster deep collaboration and partnership with local logistics teams to design and implement contextually relevant in-country supply chains.

• Offer thought leadership and tools for managing inventory and stock, route planning, last-mile distribution, forward logistics (deployment to schools), and reverse logistics (returns, redeployment, end-of-life).

⛳️ Requirements

• Honours Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in supply chain management, supply chain architecture, logistics, field operations, or related disciplines. A Master's Degree is preferred.

• At least 10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or asset-heavy field operations, including a minimum of 5 years at a senior level with proven expertise in supply chain architecture.

• Demonstrated experience in managing inventory, distribution, and reverse logistics, focusing on practical, sustainable solutions that are effective in real-world applications.

• Solid understanding of asset lifecycle management and repair processes.

• Experience in working within low-resource, high-complexity environments.

• Proven ability to cultivate a data-driven culture within an organization to enhance decision-making.

• Experience collaborating with remote or hybrid teams across various countries.

• Experience in the non-profit or social sector is a plus.
