Director of Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Lead and improve the supply chain operations across various Viant locations

• Manage demand and capacity planning, inventory and supply planning, as well as new product launches

• Establish and enhance the functionality of ERP and advanced planning systems for supply chain and manufacturing operations

• Serve as the subject matter expert for ERP functionalities related to Supply Chain and Manufacturing

• Set optimal inventory levels and operational standards to ensure accurate inventory records

• Support plants with inventory strategies and projects to achieve targeted days-on-hand

• Develop and supervise master scheduling processes at both local sites and globally

• Ensure that production expectations align with long-term supply plans and achieve the 95% on-time delivery target

• Create a methodology for systematic management of work orders and shop floor schedules

• Build and maintain capacity models for production and supply chain at each manufacturing site

• Identify capacity bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance throughput

• Drive continuous improvement of the SIOP process in collaboration with executives, site management, and the Commercial team

• Partner with the Commercial team to create effective demand plans

• Develop and maintain long-term supply plans with individual sites utilizing systematic planning tools

• Create standard operating procedures and daily management systems that link SIOP plans to site production execution and financial outcomes

• Ensure the integrity of master data through process monitoring and control

• Collaborate with management and staff across multiple locations

• Convey complex challenges and solutions to executive management, production management, and subject matter experts

• Perform additional duties as required

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required

• A minimum of 4 years of experience leading change in a manufacturing environment

• At least 6 years of experience in developing and implementing top-tier supply chain business processes and practices

• Proven success in promoting and enhancing ERP planning tools within a multi-site manufacturing context

• Experience with Oracle, IQMS, or KINAXIS is preferred

• Willingness to travel 50%-75% to Viant locations in the U.S., Costa Rica, and Tijuana, Mexico

• Advanced skills in ERP systems

• Strong presentation abilities

• Capability to interact with all organizational levels

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making capabilities

• Experience in the medical device industry is preferred; backgrounds in aerospace, automotive, or food industries are also acceptable

• A Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration is preferred

• APICS Certification is preferred

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
