This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of Mozilla's long-term financial model spanning 3 to 5 years, converting broad strategic objectives and the company vision into practical financial forecasts.
• Perform comprehensive market sizing and segmentation analyses. Define, monitor, and assess our Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) for both current products and new business ventures.
• Supervise the financial performance, health, and strategic alignment of Mozilla’s current direct investments and venture portfolio, providing regular updates and strategic capitalization suggestions to leadership.
• Collaborate closely with leadership across Mozilla’s various subsidiaries to consolidate market insights, identify emerging industry trends, and evaluate their financial implications on our long-term objectives.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a small team of high-achieving strategic finance professionals, promoting a culture of intellectual curiosity, accountability, and analytical rigor.
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership and heads of business units, simplifying complex strategic data, financial models, and portfolio performance into clear, strategic narratives for board meetings and executive discussions.
• Work together with Strategy and Product leaders to assess the financial viability of internal product development compared to strategic commercial partnerships, joint ventures, and ecosystem collaborations.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in Strategic Finance, Corporate Development, Venture Capital, Corporate Financial Planning, or Management Consulting, with a strong emphasis on technology, SaaS, or consumer internet sectors.
• At least 2 years of direct people management experience, demonstrating a successful history of developing, mentoring, and retaining high-performing analytical talent.
• Outstanding ability to construct complex, scalable, and intuitive risk-adjusted financial models from the ground up to assess partnerships, macro trends, and multi-year scenarios, ideally utilizing various AI tools in financial modeling.
• Strong proficiency in strategic frameworks, market sizing methodologies (TAM/SAM/SOM), and corporate/portfolio management practices.
• Proven capability to operate across decentralized business units, cross-functional strategy teams, or corporate subsidiaries to gather insights and foster alignment.
• Experience transforming ambiguous strategic questions or disjointed data environments into structured, scalable financial frameworks from scratch.
• Deep alignment with Mozilla’s mission, balancing fiscal responsibility with a commitment to privacy, open-source principles, and public-benefit technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business); an MBA or CFA charter is a valuable asset.
